ISSA urban netball: Gaynstead look to maintain perfect record
GAYNSTEAD High netballers will be aiming to extend their perfect record in both the junior and senior categories when second-round action in the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) urban netball competition gets under way today at the Leila Robinson Court.
The Dalton Hinds-coached teams have been in terrific form all season, winning all their matches in the preliminary round. With quarterfinal spots up for grabs -- where the top two teams in each of the four groups advance -- they will be hoping to extend their winning streak.
The juniors will be first on court as they open against Camperdown High at 11 a.m., while the seniors face Jonathan Grant High at 3 p.m.
In what will be an extremely busy day, Vauxhall High will also be looking to maintain their unbeaten run. Their juniors meet Bridgeport High at 11 a.m., before the seniors take the court at noon against Campion College.
Following a defeat to Vauxhall in their final preliminary-round game, defending champions St Catherine High will be hoping to rebound. Seeking their fourth consecutive title, the St John's Road team will face parish rivals Jonathan Grant at noon.
