Truck driver beaten and robbed in St Catherine
A St Catherine truck driver is counting his losses after he was ambushed and robbed of his work truck when he responded to what he thought was a legitimate removal job on Wednesday.
Reports are that about 11:00 in the morning on December 3, 2025, the driver, who operates a carrier and removal service, was offered a job in McCooks Pen, St Catherine. He was told to pick up two men along the way.
When they arrived in the area, one of the men hit him in the head and a third man armed with a gun appeared. The gunman reportedly used the weapon to assault the driver before the men tied him up.
The robbers then made off with the 2014 Isuzu Elf motor truck, a Samsung cellular phone, and a wallet containing his driver licence and other documents.
The Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the matter.
