Dancehall artiste Raas Kelly is currently enjoying much attention with his single titled Red Hot, which was produced and released by the US-based Barracks Productions label.

The track, which was recorded on a mid-tempo dancehall beat, carries thought-provoking messages about current affairs that resonate with music fans worldwide.

"I recorded this song after observing everything that happened during the pandemic and afterwards. The world has changed significantly in some regards since 2020, but a lot of things remain the same," Raas Kelly said.

The easy-going deejay, who has been living in England for more than 20 years, said that although it's hard to build a successful career in dancehall music in the UK, he's not giving up.

"There are so many other genres that are way more popular over here. However, I am not giving up because I have seen Stylo G and others break through and make it big in dancehall music, and I know I can do it too," he said.

He's also promoting a new single titled Kisko on the Sweat Box Productions label.

" Red Hot is currently doing well in Jamaica, and I plan to keep the momentum going with this new single. It's only been out a couple of weeks now, and it's already generating a nice buzz over here. My team and I are getting ready to start promoting it in Jamaica," he said.

Raas Kelly, given name Ruben Ennis, was born in Kingston and grew up in Carisbrook, St Elizabeth. He began his professional journey in music in 2017 with a single titled Body Haffi Clean on the So Sick label.
