Dancehall artiste eNGee Dadon, formerly known as Pickney, is carving out his space on the local and international music scene with a new single, Dancehall Jealousy.

The track, produced under his independent imprint, New Generation Music Ent., is rooted in real-life experiences.

"I've seen how envy, rivalry, and hidden competition can affect friendships, opportunities, and growth in the industry. I turned that negative energy into a positive outlet -- a song about resilience and standing tall, no matter the obstacles," he explained.

For the deejay, the biggest reward has been how deeply the song resonates with listeners.

"Fans feel the energy, they connect with the message, and many tell me it reflects their own struggles -- not just in music, but in business and life. That's when I knew the track touched deeper than entertainment."

Beyond recording, eNGee Dadon wears many hats. He manages his own career, oversees his label, and infuses a versatile style into a competitive industry. His influences span from dancehall greats like Vybz Kartel, Merciless, Bounty Killer and Buju Banton to global icons such as Tupac and Jay-Z.

As the dancehall genre continues to evolve, he says authenticity remains his compass.

"Dancehall is evolving. It's influencing global culture like never before, but there's still a battle between preserving the foundation and embracing new trends. For me, it's about balance -- pushing the music forward, while keeping the culture alive."

Fans can look forward to several upcoming projects, including Life of Immigrants, Crocodile Masicka, and Pain Inna Ah Chest.
