Jamaica's sprint star Usain Bolt has revealed that his preparations for the 2016 season are going very well.

Bolt, who is looking to add to his six Olympic gold medals at the upcoming Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, says he wants to entertain his fans, remain fit, and compete hard this year.

The world 100 and 200 metres record holder says he is looking forward to putting on a show for his fans at the Cayman Invitational track meet, his season opener, on May 14 in the Cayman Islands.

"I am in good nick, training hard, my time trials are going well, my coach is happy so everything is going well, and I am just looking forward to my first meet in Cayman.

" I am just trying to get my mind right and just go out there and execute," Bolt said.

He was speaking in an interview Sunday night following a reception and auction

hosted by the Jamaica National Building Society at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel in Kingston.

The reception showcased Racers stars Bolt, Yohan Blake, Warren Weir and Kemar Bailey-Cole. Items on the auction block included Puma Jamaica Polo shirt, autographed by Kemar Bailey-Cole; black running spikes, autographed by Warren Weir; Adidas running spikes, autographed by Yohan Blake; and black and silver running spikes, autographed by Usain Bolt. There were also batons autographed by Bolt from last year's IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China.

Meanwhile, the fifth annual Cayman meet at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex will be televised for the first time on ESPN.

Bolt also revealed that he is looking forward to competing here at his club's Racers Grand Prix scheduled for the National Stadium on June 11.

" I haven't run in Jamaica for a couple of years now, so for me I am looking forward to that," he added.
