67-year-old motorcyclist dies in Westmoreland collision

Two men, including a 67-year-old motorcyclist, died in a collision along the Llandile main road, Savana-la-mar in Westmoreland yesterday.

Deceased is Roy Porter of Big Bridge, Westmoreland, and an unidentified man.

According to the Savana-la-mar police, about 6:00 p.m. Porter was travelling in a westerly direction towards Negril when a red motorcycle being driven by the unidentified man allegedly overtook a line of traffic.

Both men were severely injured and transported to the hospital, where Porter was pronounced dead and the other man succumbed whilst undergoing treatment.

The investigation continues.
