The body of missing hotel manager Clyde Taylor was discovered in the trunk of his 2013 Nissan Note motorcar in Top Hill near Runaway Bay, St Ann last night.

The body had several chop wounds to the upper torso, including the head.

One man, considered a prime suspect, was picked up prior to the discovery of the body, will face questioning, according to SSP Dwight Powell.

“Since the missing person report we did a lot of work including a lot of operational response; in the operational response we managed to pick up a prime suspect,” Powell told reporters.

“We’re in the process of looking for another two persons of interest who we believe will be able to assist us with the investigation,” Powell added.

The body, which was in a decomposing state, was removed to the morgue while the car was brought to the station for safekeeping.

The 65-year-old hotel manager has been reported missing since Saturday, after he left home to take care of business matters.

Efforts to get in touch with Vana Taylor, the victim’s sister and president of the St Ann Chamber of Commerce, and Chairperson of the JHTA Ocho Rios Runaway Bay Chapter were unsuccessful.
