The Dragon Stout-sponsored, late-night session Ratingz was no doubt a success for promoters Yung Rolaz and Romeich Entertainment.

Last Tuesday, partygoers appeared at the entrance of the St Lucia car park in New Kingston enquiring about the start time for the event from as early as 9 p.m.

The party, which has been dubbed 'an uptown street dance', jumped into full gear at approximately midnight, with music selectors sticking to the usual street dance agenda, spinning tunes from their '90s dancehall and R&B playlists to warm up the event, before transitioning to the 2000s. DJ Nicco, Chris Dymond, DJ Antsman, Badda Bling and Likkle Rich were four of the disc jockeys responsible for the musical presentation.

Beenie Man, Desha Raverz, Boysie Roses and Stylo G were just some of the entertainers who were seen rocking to the bass and sipping their beverage of choice across the venue.

"The vibe was definitely different to one of the more popular street dances, but the energy of the people was still loud, and I love it, especially because of the setting that attracted whole heap of beautiful females," Boysie told THE STAR.

Christopher Martin and the Touch Down artiste Stylo G also gave the event two thumbs up, stating that the party's theme 'Rate Who Rate You' was well represented, as the music displayed the newest and oldest of reggae and dancehall's talents.

At 4 a.m., when the party was expected to come to an official close after much 'flossing', Chris Dymond decided to awaken the party spirit in a few females when he played a wide variety of 'gyal chunes', many of which were not heard throughout the night.

Then, just as persons began to leave the venue, dancehall deejay Masicka appeared from the shadows of a VIP cabana to tease the remaining guests with songs like Humongous and Gifted, before the party came to a close at 4:45 a.m.
