Elections affects Sanchez Negril show
The King of Kings Promotion-promoted 'Live in Concert' series that is being held in Negril , Westmoreland, is one of many events affected due to the general election slated to take place on Thursday.
An announcement by the Westmoreland police confirmed that events leading up to the date of election will have to be postponed, as one of many security measures. As a result the Live in Concert series, featuring international reggae singer Sanchez with guest appearances by Papa D, Samory I, and Canadian songstress Chelsea Stewart, that was scheduled for tomorrow, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 8.
The event starts at 8 p.m. at Jamaica Tamboo, located on Norman Manley Boulevard in Negril. "It's just one of those things that goes with the business of event promotion. I have no issues with the postponement of the event to a time more conducive to ensure the safety of my patrons," promoter Worrel King said. "And, even though we now have to do a lot of adjustments to facilitate the change of date, I do applaud the JCF on this move."
